How to get there: You can reach the Cinemaxx Essen by taking the tram 108 in the direction of “Altenessen Bahnhof”. At Essen main station, change to the U11 subway in the direction ‘’Gelsenkirchen-Buerer Str’’. After just one stop you will reach the “Berliner Platz” station.

24 hour service from Monday to Friday. Please drop off your laundry at the reception until 9:00 am.
Do you need an express service with same-day return or a weekend service? Please contact us. We are also pleased to provide you with an iron and ironing board. Alternatively, you can leave your clothes at the reception and use our ironing service for a small fee.
We accept all usual credit cards, such as American Express , Diners Club, Mastercard and Visa as well as EC cards and of course also payment by cash.
On the day of departure your room is available until 11:00 am. You can also book a late check-out until 3:00 pm. for EUR 30.00, subject to availability. If you wish to depart later, please contact us.

The park, which is now over 70 hectares large , was founded in 1929. Gruga means “Große ruhrländische Gartenbau Ausstellung“. The main entrance is only 600 meters from our hotel. Did you forget something? The most essential items such as toothbrush , toothpaste, shaver etc. are available at the reception.
In our lobby you have the opportunity to surf at the internet and to access your e-mail account free of charge on our guest PC. Please also have a look under the point “Internet access Wireless LAN”.
Iron and ironing board are available at the reception. Ironing in the hotel rooms without an ironing board on the desks is not permitted! We ask for your understanding. Alternatively, you can leave your clothings at the reception and use our ironing service for a small fee.
A number of forrest areas with jogging trails can be found in the vicinity of our hotel. Only 600 meters from here in the Grugapark there is a lighted and clearly signposted jogging trail.
The Kruppwald in about 400m distance also has a lot of running opportunities.

The Baldeneysee is only about 5 km away from the Hotel Maximilians. It is one of the most popular local recreation areas in the Ruhr area. Enjoy a boat tour with the “White Fleet Baldeney” (hourly in the summer months) or skate around the lake on inline skates (extra inline skating route available). You can rent bicycles and inline skates right on the lake. The route around the lake is one of the most attractive routes in the entire Ruhr area (approx. 14 km/60 min).
If you have already checked out we will be pleased to store your luggage for you.
Simply report to our reception and we will collect your luggage from your room and store it for you in our back office luggage room.
You can get stamps, paper and envelopes at the reception.
You will find a snack and drink vending machine with a wide range and fair prices in the hotel lobby.
When booking our business category, one portion per person and day from the snack machine is already included.
Forgot your charger? No problem! A number of I-Phone, USB-C and Micro-USB cables are available at the reception. We can also help you with different socket adapters.
The hotel’s own parking spaces are located directly behind the hotel. You are welcome to use these for EUR 10.00 per night, subject to availability. Unfortunately we cannot reserve these parking spaces, we ask for your understanding. Alternatively, you can park for free in all adjacent side streets and directly in front of the hotel. Please only pay attention to the parking restrictions in front of driveways and garages.
Your dog is also very welcome (10.00 €/night ). We assume that they are house-trained, clean and no hazard to other guests and our staff. Please inform reception if you leave your dog in your room unattended.

If you are not satisfied with the choice of pillows in your room, please do not hesitate to contact us. On request, we can offer you a small selection of pillows at reception. On request, we can also equip your room with allergy-friendly pillows.
The nearest post office is about 500m from here on Rüttenscheider Str.198. But you also have the option of dropping off your mail at the reception. Individual stamps are also available at the reception. The nearest post box is on the corner of Manfredstrasse and Rüttenscheiderstraße, about 100m from the hotel.
You can buy your ticket directly from the machines in the underground station. The next underground station is 250m from here called “Florastrasse”.

There are various restaurants, bars and cafes on Rüttenscheider Straße.
At the reception you will receive our restaurant & area map with a very large selection. On request, we will also be happy to reserve a table for you or make a personal recommendation.
There is a lockable compartment in the wardrobe in all rooms. We also offer you a safe at the hotel reception for your valuables. The hotel assumes no liability for valuables.
The Grugaparktherme “Kur vor Ort” – a sauna area with various saunas is only about 10 minute walk away from the hotel. Entrance tickets and sauna bags with towels and bathrobes are available from reception https://grugaparktherme.de/
Your safety is our top priority. Therefore we would ask you to please familiarize yourself with the escape routes and fire protection measures once you have moved into your room.
A shoe shine machine is located in the entrance area of the lobby. You can get more shoe cleaning utensils at reception or use our shoe cleaning service.
You can reach the shopping center “Limbecker Platz” by taking tram 108 in the direction of “Altenessen Bahnhof”. At Essen main station you have to change to the U11 subway in the direction of „Gelsenkirchen-Buerer Str.“.
After just one stop you will reach the “Berliner Platz” station, from which an exit leads directly to the shopping center.
The Rüttenscheider Strasse (shopping street) is only a two – minute walk from the hotel.
You can reach Essen city center by taking tram 108 in the direction of “Altenessen Bahnhof”. Get off at Essen main station.
You can reach the Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum in Mülheim by taking tram 108 in the direction of “Altenessen Bahnhof”. After about 7 minutes, get off at Essen main station and then take the U18 in the direction of “Mülheim Hbf” to the “Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum” stop.
You can reach the Westfield CentrO in Oberhausen by car in about 20 minutes.
Our house has free Sky channels in all rooms (Sky Cinema HD, Sky Sport 1 HD, Sky Sport 2 HD). You can see the exact channels on the TV overview in your room.

The nearest underground access is 250m from the hotel on “Florastraße”. The tram 108 takes you to the city center in just 7 minutes (stop Essen main station). Tickets are available from the machines in the entrance area of the underground.

Oversized duvets (1.50m x 2.20m) are available from reception on request, along with additional pillows. On request, we can also equip your room with allergy-friendly pillows. Our duvets are already allergy-friendly.
You can also borrow a mobile changing table for babys or a shower stool from the reception.
